How can my husband apply for my (his wife) green card?

i am an illigal immigrant from mexico that has been in the states since i was 3years old i am 23 now. i married my husband a year ago and have a beautiful daughter together. But i want to get a job and help out with the bills. since i am illigal i cant apply for a job. my huband wants to apply for my citizenship. but since we have dont have much money we cant hire a lawyer. we are thinking of doing this our self but not sure how. we are not sure how to start at all! what forms do we need to apply for? how much will this cost us? how long will i have to wait to receive documents for me to start working? thank you so much for you help (aly)
